Long Time No SEE!!!

TIME FLIES!!!

It has been forever since I have blogged!!! I am horrible!!! Our lives are kinda crazy and hectic right now, and lots of things are up in the air, so I haven't had the motivation to sit down and make myself blog!!! But because time is flying by so fast, I want to document my little LADY, who will be two in almost two short months!! SO SAD!!

I find typical developement to be so fascinating. Probably because of what I do for work, but it is absolutely fascinating. I have watched Paityn learn and grow, and hit her developmental markers, so effortlessly. And it is AMAZING!!!

She is so fun!! She talks very well, and will carry on conversations with us now. I love that she can tell me, "Bye mom, be good. I miss you". She knows where all of her body parts are, like even her knee, thigh, and wrist, I think that is pretty amazing, again probably because of what I do for work. lol She loves to count things, 1,2,3,8,9,10.....who needs 4,5,6, & 7 anyways--Totally not important!!! She knows what the duck, cow, sheep, Robbie (her puppy), Max (horse on tangled), pig, and chicken say- When we ask her what they say, we usually get through two or so before she then says, "what does the ____ say", then she answers her own question, and will continue on with "what does mommy say? Hi Paityn, mommy loves you" That one is my favorite.. She loves to dump out her piggy bank, and put her money back in through the slot-which I also love, way to work on your fine motor skills babe!!!

A few of her favorite shows are Toy story all of them, Tangled, Super Why, Curious George, Snow White-totally don't understand that one, and Monsters Inc. She can also tell you who all the characters are. Her new favorite thing is to repeat the lines right before they are said--I probably should write that one, I promise I don't let her watch TV all day.

She loves the Adele 'Someone Like you" song and will chime in every time she says the word you. When she meets new people she likes to tell them, "My names Paityn, her names Aubrie" She may or may not refer to us as Aubrie and Russ on occasion.

She loves to play with cars and send them down the ramp at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She also loves to play basketball with her dad. She is a VERY big daddies girl, which only hurts my feelings a little!!! lol I finally gave in and took her to nursery, very sad, but she loves it!!

I LOVE HER!!! I may be a little bias, but I love being a mom, and she is so fun!! She makes our lives so complete!!!

I just love this little toad!!! Well maybe someday soon I will blog again, about all the changes that are happening in our lives, but right now I don't have the desire too....or maybe its because I am trying to ignore all the emotions that go along with them....Who knows..... They are not bad things by any means, just change!!!
p.s. Jessica you need to have your baby ASAP!!!! I need to love him!!! Please get on that!!!

Paityn turned ONE!!!!!

The last few months!!

First of all I am terrible at blogging!!! I pretty much hate it!@ I am not clever, or a writer, nor do I like sitting down and doing this!! lol I am a terrible journal keeper, with that being said I am so afraid I am going to forget all the wonderful things going on in our lives, so here is my pitiful attempt at trying to remember......

First of all our sweet girl is getting so big, I feel like she is not a baby anymore. She has such a big personality, we fall more in love with her everyday. Paityn got her first two teeth 3 days before she turned 9 months old. We were beginning to think she was never going to get teeth!! But low and behold she got them, luckily for us she was actually pretty happy and not very fussy, one day she just bit my finger and there they were!!! So wonderful!!

We have been very fortunate, besides Paityns ear infections, she has been pretty healthy. Our luck ended two weeks ago when P woke up in the middle of the night with a really high fever of 104. I have to admit there are few times in our lives where both Russ and myself have been as scared. Russ was able to give P a blessing and her fever finally broke the next evening. She didn't seem to be getting better, so we took her to the doctor last week and found out the poor little lady has bronchitis and another ear infection. So after some sad days, a baby not eating, a terrible cough, and two tired parents, I think we are finally on the path back to our happy healthy baby.

Paityn will be 10 months old on Friday!!! Ahh I cant believe it!! It has gone so fast. She weighs 16 pounds 8 ounces, and is just a little lady, but tall which is funny considering her parents. She started getting one of her top teeth a few days ago. I love that cute little smile. She is so independent, and all over the place. She is cruising furniture, talking up a storm, and working on her balance, she can stand for about 15-30 seconds before she gets nervous and sits down. Some of her favorite games are to empty the diaper bag, or laundry basket, or anything that can be emptied, she thinks it is so funny. Her second favorite game is to stand by the couch hold on with one hand and bend down and pick stuff up off of the floor and put it on the couch and then push it back to the floor and start all over again. If you try to help her, she gets mad!! So there is no helping this baby!! I don't think it will be too much longer until she is waddling around on her two little feet, that she absolutely wont let us put shoes on, apparently she is afraid...who knew!!

Russ has been doing restoring his 1969 mustang the past few months, and it is looking so good!! He has done an amazing job so far, the car looked like crap when he started but now its looking more and more like an actual car. I am so glad Russ has something that he loves to do, its fun to watch him do something that he loves and makes him happy.

My little brother Chase is leaving for his mission this Wednesday, we are going to miss him lots. I cant even imagine what P will be like when he gets home, she will be almost 3!! Chase loves little P, and little P loves him, it will be sad to see him have to say goodbye to her. We are so proud and happy for Chase, we know he is making the right decision, and will be a great instrument for the Lord. Good luck Chase, we love you and will miss you!!

Isn't this the cutest face? Oh how I love this baby!! I have learned more than I ever thought possible about LOVE in the last 3 1/2 years, and if you put all that I have learned these past few years together and triple it, it wouldn't even come close to how much Russ and I have both learned in the last 7 months. These past 7 months, have been the most exhausting, hard, difficult, wonderful, amazing, blessed, perfect, and rewarding months of my life!! I don't think there is any other point of time in my life where I have learned as much, strived for charity, and prayed and sought out to be the best person I am capable of being, not for myself, but for this little beauty~~

She has blessed our lives in so many ways!! We are so lucky to have her!!

My wonderful husband turned the big 26!!! (in September, better late than never right!!) He says he is not quite sure how he feels about it, but I still love him@@!!! lol I don't tell him that near enough. He is so good to me, and is the absolute cutest dad, Paityn and I are so lucky to have him. He is such a hard worker, he is so kind and loving, and honors his priesthood. I feel so lucky to have my best friend as my husband!! We are two lucky girls!! Oh how we have changed through the years, I look at old pictures of us and cant believe how different we are now!! In a good way though!! lol Here are just a few pictures from the last 6 years!!

Oh my gosh!! I am blogging this so I don't forget the day, but my little baby CRAWLS!!!! She crawled today all over my parents house!! Its so fun!! Her balance is getting so good, she can sit for a good minute before she falls down!! We had her 6 month check up today and she weighs 13 pounds 15 ounces, and is in the 10th percentile for weight, and is 25 inches long which is in the 20th percentile for height. I don't have any pictures on this computer right now, so I will post some a little later!! Sorry for this personal post that you probably don't care about, I just feel like I am forgetting when these big milestones are happening so I though I would post it!! That way I always have the date!! Thats all!!

Oh my gosh how she has grown!! Darling little P is growing so fast!! She is now scooting all over the place, is getting some teeth, and is now prop sitting. She is a tall little stinker, she is in the 75th percentile for height and in the 20th percentile for weight. She is so much fun!! Russ and I love love love love watching her grow and change everyday. Her personality is showing through more and more everyday and we love it. She is almost 6 months old, and we can hardly believe it. Here are some pictures of her wonderful life so far... I have a million other pictures I would love to add, but these are the only ones I have on hand, and sorry they are backwards...

I am so far behind.... where to begin.... turns out that having a baby takes up all of your time!!! lol Who would have thought. Our little family is doing wonderful. Paityn is getting so big!!! I can hardly believe that the beautiful baby we play with now is the same perfect little baby we brought home from the hospital. Oh how we love her. She has changed our lives in ways that we never could have imagined!! We are so lucky to have her. Time has sure flown by.... Here is our lives as lately.

Blessing Day

We were so excited to bless Paityn on Sunday. It was the perfect day, Russ gave her the most perfect blessing, I am so grateful to have a wonderful husband who holds and honors his priesthood. He is such an amazing father and husband. We were able to bless Paityn in the dress that my grandmother made for my blessing. It was a very special day and had many friends and family come to support our family. We feel very blessed to have so many people in our lives who share the love we have for Paityn. I still cant believe that our darling little girl is two months old!!

I cant believe she is here!! She is perfect and wonderful and so much fun!! I still cant believe that I get to be her mom. Paityn was born on May 4th, at 2:42 pm. She weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. She has tonz of hair, and the cutest chubby cheeks!! Well here is the story if you want to know it, if not then just skip it....lol

Warning this is a long post.....

I was 41 weeks pregnant and very uncomfortable, and very ready to hold my sweet girl. We were scheduled to be induced because my body would not progress. We got to the hospital on Monday night, they hooked me up to my IV and gave me medicine to help start labor, and told us to try to get some sleep. About an hour after they gave me the medicine, I started to contract, and was so so excited that my body was finally doing something lol. They gave me another dose of the medicine, and again told us to get some sleep. At this point the contractions were starting to get worse, so they gave me some medicine to help with the pain because I wasn't far enough along to get an epidural yet. My contractions were coming very steady about a minute apart, and Russ and I thought we would be having a baby very soon. We got a new nurse at shift change, and she watched my contractions and said that they were coming to fast for medicine to help with the pain so it was time to get my epidural-Best thing ever- they then started me on pitocin to help me dilate. After an hour or two of this my body still wasn't progressing and my contractions were right on top of each other. They weren't too worried because Paityn's heart rate was strong and it was steady. After staying this way for a few hours and still no progress Paityn's heart rate started to fall. They then gave me a shot to completely stop my labor and let Paityn rest. They let her rest for an hour or so, and then started pitocin again. When they started the pitocin again my contractions were right on top of each other again and Paityn's heart rate fell and stayed low, so they stopped my labor again and checked to see if I was ready to try and have a baby. Turns out I was only dilated to a three so they decided to see if my body would start labor on its own this time. They checked me again a few hours later and I wasn't any farther along, and Paityn's heart rate kept dropping. So after 16 hours of labor I was rushed into the OR for an emergency C-Section. To make a long story short, Russ was amazing and held my hand, he was such a comfort, a few minutes later Russ and I heard the most beautiful cry we have ever heard. Russ and I cried, and Russ went to go see our beautiful girl. They got me all stitched, and Paityn clean and wheeled us back to our room. Our families were waiting in the hall and they loved her immediately. Once our families all saw her Russ brought her in to see me, she was the most beautiful little girl I had ever seen and she just took my breath away. Russ helped me hold her because my arms were numb. That was one of the sweetest moments in my life having my little family together just the three of us. Very few moments can even compare to this moment.

There are so many things to say right now, and my heart is full. I don't even know if I have to words to describe what I feel right now. But I will save that for another time....lol

I am finally 38 weeks into this freaking pregnancy, so I figure it is about time to post some legit pictures of me being pregnant. My lovely friend RaQuelle was super nice to take pictures of our family, so here are a couple of the pics. I realize that I am so blessed to be pregnant because many women don't get this opportunity when they have endrometrosis like I do, so I count my many blessings....even if I complain occassionally! We can't wait to see what the little beauty looks like in a couple weeks! We are very grateful for this miracle that we didn't think would be possible.

Girl!! We are way excited and cant believe how fast time is going!! and it is so true what they say, once you "pop" there is no hiding it. I started to pop at about 26 weeks, and now I am just huge!! Here is my 28 week large belly!! Its kinda hard to believe that I can even get any bigger, I already feel HUGE!!! But baby is doing good, and is constantly moving, especially when I am trying to sleep!! lol

Ok so I am not in the mood to fix my last post, so I am only going to post one picture for now. I think I have put off posting about this long enough, but WE ARE PREGNANT!! Its true and kinda crazy but we are so so excited!! The picture is a terrible terrible picture, but it is the only one I have right now, and I was just messing around. This picture was taken about 3 weeks ago when I was only 17 weeks along, but now we are half way and cant believe how fast the time has gone. We are now 20 weeks and will be having our official ultrasound on Friday. We had a unofficial ultrasound about 3 weeks ago, and they suspect that it is a girl, but wouldn't guarantee it, so I guess we will find out how right they were on Friday!! Its been a rough 5 months, but things are starting to get better and as you can guess yes my stomach is getting much bigger!! Well that mostly explains why I haven't posted in a long time and gets you up to date with our lives!!! I cant wait to see Russ with our little one, he is already so excited!!

A Post at Last!!

Ok, so it has been a crazy 4 months!! So much has been going on, I don't really even know where to start..... Well first of all I started my job back in July and I love it!! Way better than student teaching!! My class is so fun and my aides are wonderful!! Its been a good year so far. One of my dearest friends Carli got married in October and it was so so fun to share the special day with her and Chuck.

Our Halloween was so fun, my family always has soup and breadsticks while we pass out the candy and I absolutely love it!! Jess and Scott came over and played games and it was the best Halloween ever!! Russ and I also had the opportunity to go and see my little brother test for his black belt, that was fun!! He did a great job!! We are very excited for him.

So I promised my wonderful friend Anna that I would take a picture weekly and post about it, well obviously I have been very bad at that promise!! But in all fairness, so has she!! lol Just kidding Anna I love ya!! Well here are a few pictures from the last few months!!

The Day I have been waiting for, for as long as I can remember, finally came and went!! No I am not talking about my wedding day, but that already did too!! On May 8th, 2009 I GRADUATED!! I graduated from the University of Utah with my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Special Education!! I absolutely love my major and can not wait to start my career!! There are a few people I would like to thank for helping me get through all this!! First I want to thank my mom and dad, without them I might have given up! I love them!!

I would also like to thank Jen Macfarlane!! I was her student teacher, and she has taught me so much. Without her help I don't think I would have found my passion!! I aspire to be a great educator like her!! Thanks Jen!! I would also like to thank Danielle!! She knows the reason why, but without her help 25 credits and student teaching in two placements our last semester of college, would have broke me!! Who else is crazy enough to try totackle that task with me??!! I also want to send a shout out to Erin!! She is so great, and has become a great friend!! She helped me through the last couple of semesters. She was pregnant for most of our last semester, then had a darling little guy!! I owe a lot to her!! I know that I have gained life long friends with these three amazing women!!

I would like to thank my best friend Jessica!! She is the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for!! She understands me when I don't understand me!! She is the best!! She was able to come to my graduation which was the best gift ever!! Jess I love you!! Jess is graduating from the U this December with two degrees. She will have a degree in sociology and social work. She is such a great example of hard work and dedication, my venting buddy, and truly the sister I never had!! I love ya Jess!! (and our husbands are better friends than we are)

Lastly, I would like to thank Russ!! Without him I would be lost. He is my soul mate!! He has done so much to support me through school, it was a huge sacrifice for him, but I love him for it. He is the best husband!! I can't imagine my life without him. He is so loving, patient, and helps me be a better version of myself everyday!! He has put up with a lot during these last two semesters, he pretty much didn't have a wife!! I love you baby!! You are my whole world!! Thanks for the best two years, can't wait for the rest of our lives!!

Oh I just love him!!

We left Sunday morning at 8:40 to go to the Happiest place on earth!!! We were so lucky to be able to go with our Best Friends Scott and Jessica on vacation!!! YEAH!! Scott had never been to California before, so we all decided to take a trip there before school starts again!! This is Jessica and Scott excited to leave!!

Anna & Stephen Beck

Anna and Stephen were married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 5th, it was a beautiful ceremony, and they are so happy!!
It was a beautiful day, and everything was amazing!! Her dress was totally her, I loved her veil!!

Her reception was amazing, she had it at Riverton Park, there was a cup cake decorating station, a guy making balloon hats, and amazing cupcakes for dessert!! I am so happy for her, she has been one of my great friends since we were like 12. She married a wonderful guy, and she is so happy!! I love her, it was a wonderful day!!!

I love the 4th of July!!! We had such a fun day!!! First we went to Park City and Rode the Alpine Slide and Coaster!! So fun!!! Totally recommend it!!! We went with my family and the Seals!!! I love this little boy!!!

Tyler's Mission Call!!!

On July 3rd we had the privilege to watch my little brother open his mission call. It was a fun experience to watch him prepare, turn in his papers, keep it a secret from my parents, and then get his call. We are so excited for him he will be an amazing missionary!!
Elder Tyler Keo Sorenson is going to serve in the Kentucky Louisville Mission. He leaves September 10. I cant wait to watch him grow!!

Ok, So this post is for Jessica so she will have something to read!!!! It occured to me today while I was sitting at work, that it is almost July!! This summer is going way to fast. I cant believe that Russ and I have already been married for over a year!! Its been the best year so far. We have lots of things to look forward to over the next couple of months!!! First my brother should get his mission call at some point!!! School is over in about a month, for a month!!! One of my greatest friends Anna is getting married and I cant wait to be with her on her special day!!! We are going to California with our best friends Jessica and Scott!! So SO So fun!! Disneyland, Wicked, the beach!!! Aislinn comes home from her mission so soon!!! I cant even wait!!! It will be so fun to have her home!! Lots more adventures I am sure we will have!!! But looking back on it her mission has flown by!!! Totally crazy!! My Grandma also comes home so soon!! I have missed her, at least I can call her whenever I want!! Ok, I am jumping the gun a little bit, I think I will just start a count down to Disneyland!!
